The base unit is made of stainless steel and is easy to care for. It is thoughtfully designed to be built to last. The rollers heat up using steam from the included steamer unit. (The steamer unit attaches separately for easy storage, cleaning and use. It can be replaced at a later date if need be.) The steam flows through the uncapping unit through tubes and then out into a bucket to catch moisture. No moisture will come in contact with the honey.
The rollers slice through the caps vertically to leave as much intact for the bees as possible.
This is designed to fit on a variety of uncapping tanks, especially those made by Lyson, with it's adjustable rails. This WILL fit on our Pro SAF Natura Uncapping Bench - #M569, but will not fit on the smaller version (item #M568).
The stainless stainless steel unit measures 22-5/8" W x 6-7/8" H x 15-3/8" Depth.
